Gurney, Julia------Lehi. May 6.-Mrs. Julia Gurney, the wife of William Gurney, died early this morning after an illness of several months. She and her husband were two of the oldest settlers of Lehi, having come here in the early 1850's, during the time of the move. The deceased was born in the Isle of Jersey sixty years ago next September. She came to Utah in 1856; settling in Tooele, where she lived for four years prior to moving to Lehi She leaves a husband and eight children to mourn the loss of a fond mother and loving wife. The funeral will be held in the meeting house Tuesday. Salt Lake Herald May 7, 1900
Wirthlin, Leopold ------in this city Tue 21, 1900 of appendicitis, Leopold Wirthlin, aged 27 years , born in Salt Lake City, Utah. The remains will be shipped by undertaker Joseph William Taylor today to Payson, Utah where the funeral services will be held Sunday June 24. Salt Lake Herald June 22, 1900
