Blow out at Tetro Mine
The cylinder head of the compressor at the Tetro mine blew out Wednesday afternoon Charles S Schillings who was standing near at the time was struck upon the left leg by the flying missile and sustained a compound fracture of the large bone just below the knee The small bone of the leg was also broken and the fleshy part of the leg badly bruised The young man was taken to the Holy Cross hospital at Salt Lake yesterday morning John A Brown who was in the room at the time of the accident was thrown violently to the floor by the force of the explosion but get off without injury. Taken To Infirmary
Charles Hensley was taken to the County infirmary of Utah county Saturday by Sheriff Cromm. The old man walked into Eureka last week and suffered considerable from the cold. He was without means and the officers gave him a bed in the county jail until he was taken to the poor house. Eureka Reporter December 12, 1902
