Allen, William who has for the last thirty years made his home with the family of George Gidney in this city died Saturday the 7th of old age and general debility, Mr. Allen was a cousin of Mr. Gidney who helped him to emigrate from England over thirty years ago.  He had a wife and four children in the old country all of whom have preceded him to the spirit world.  Of late years Mr. Allen has been very feeble and has had to be nursed almost like a baby.  He was not in very good circumstances financially and only last meeting the county commissioners set aside $30. to be used for his benefit.  While Mr. Gidney was alive he provided for the old gentleman, but since his death the family has found it quite a burden upon them hence this help from the county.  Mr. Allen was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and faithful until the last.  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the 2nd ward meeting house at which friends gathered to show their last respects.  Interment took place in the family lot at the cemetery.  Box Elder News October 12, 1905

Caggie, Mrs. Isabel six weeks ago she was stricken with partial paralysis and congestion of the brain since which time she had been in an almost unconscious state, recognizing those about only at intervals.  She seemed however to be gaining some until last Friday she suffered a sudden relapse when all hope of her recovery was abandoned and Tuesday morning at half past eleven she passed into the ever  lasting sleep.  Isabel Munro was born in Scotland sixty four years ago, and emigrated to America in 1869.  She with her husband was one of the early settlers of Corinne coming here in 1870 and since then this has been her home excepting a few years spent in Ogden.  She was married to Andrew J. Caggie in 1868 who preceded her to the other world only six months ago, and it was to the loneliness and grief at his death that her sickness was partly attributed.  Seven children were born to her - three sons only surviving.  The funeral was held at the residence Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock Rev. D. A. Brown of Salt Lake having charge.  In the passing away of Mrs. Caggie, her sons have lost a kind loving mother and those of her friends who knew her last realize that a good woman has gone to a rest highly earned.  Box Elder News August 21, 1904
